THE SHEEP OF HIS PASTURE

LIVING PRAISE CHAPEL NANAIMO
BIBLE STUDY
TOPIC: THE SHEEP OF HIS PASTURE
Text: PSALM 100:3
INTRODUCTION
*Today’s Bible study is a reminder to us as Christians of our position in Christ. Knowing our position in Christ is important for our relationship with the Savior of our soul. Just as Christ kept reminding us of who He is in God in His earthly ministry John 10:30, John 6:38.
*As the Savior of mankind, Jesus subjected Himself to the authority of the Father in Heaven. He was never in doubt of His position with God the Father and this knowledge helped Him to complete His assigned task here on earth.
*A sound understanding of who we are as ‘Sheep of God’s pasture’ will in no doubt solidify our relationship with Jesus Christ as our all in all Jer 4:22, Hosea 4:6.
*May the Spirit of God illuminate our hearts with His motive for this message in Jesus name.
OUTLINE: CHRIST OUR ALL IN ALL.
A. Christ is not just a shepherd. The Bible calls Him the Good Shepherd John 10:11.
*He cares for His sheep, nurtures them with physical and spiritual food and grows them into maturity Nahum 1:7, Psalms 23:1-3, Mark 6:34.
*As the Good Shepherd to us, we must rest assured that He has our best interests at heart Jer 31:3, Isaiah 49:15.
B. Christ is more than just a Good shepherd to us.
*Christ is our Creator, He owns us. He is our Redeemer. He is our keeper, rescuer Jer 1:5, Heb 12:2, John 3:16.
C. As Christ’s sheep, we are subject to His Lordship.
*Total Submission, Faithfulness and Obedience to our God are required of us John 10:27, Phil 2:8, Rom 12:1, 1 Cor 4:2, John 14:15, John 2:5, Deut 28:1.
God is ever faithful so we must be faithful to Him. He deserves our faithfulness and commands it Lam 3:22-23.
CONCLUSION
Divine knowledge is a prerequisite for a victorious Christian life. Knowing who God is to us and who we are in Him helps us to walk in the destiny that He has pre-ordained for us Eph 2:10. We are God’s property and like sheep our duty is simply to follow Jesus. Whatever God says we do. May we remain the Sheep of His Pasture for his Glory in Jesus name.
